Parents and Guardians, if you have a computer with access to the internet, you have the opportunity to use an exciting resource I have created for our spelling words (Words Their Way list) and our vocabulary words that go with Social Studies and Science units. You have the option of playing games with the words, taking a spelling test or vocabulary test or even printing a handwriting sheet in cursive or print. Your student can have interactive practice with words using this site. To take a look, please visit the following website: http://www.spellingcity.com/247grace/

Welcome new 3rd grade “Gems” and “Jewels”
I am very excited to welcome a new group of 3rd grade explorers to Washington Lee. I have been decorating our classroom and making plans with our other third grade teachers. We now have 3 third grade teachers. Washington Lee welcomes Mrs. Mary Shaffer to our third grade team. For those of you that have been to Washington Lee, Mrs. Shaffer’s room will be upstairs in Mr. DeBusk’s room (our old music room).
This part of my webpage will be used by students to record their thoughts on class events. All comments will be monttored by Captain Greene
Looking forward to meeting all of you on August 19th. I can not wait to begin our learning journey.
